NOTICE TO COMPETITORS N2.

·       SI 5(Schedule of Races) changes as follow:

“5.7:

After a delay or postponement, to alert boats that a race will begin soon, the race committee will display “F” Flag with a long sound signal and may be accompanied by an announcement on VHF Channel 73  for at least four minutes before a Warning signal. The race committee will remove “F” Flag with a long sound signal one minute prior to the Warning signal.”

·       SI 16(Penalty System) changes as follow:

“16.8:

Penalties for breaking sailing instructions 16.5, 16.6, 16.7, 20.5, 21, 24 and 25 may be less than disqualification if the juryso decides.”

·       SI 17(Protest and request for redress) changes as follow:

“17.7:

A list of boats that, under instruction 17.4 have acknowledged breaking RRS 42 or have been penalized for breaking RRS 42 will be posted.”

·       SI 18 is deleted.

·       SI 20(Replacement of crew) changes as follow:

“20.1:

Substitution of competitors will be allowed only with prior written approval of the jury, and must be delivered at championship’s secretary before 0900am on the day it takes effect.”

·       SI 22(Official Boats) changes as follow:

“22.1: Official boats, will be marked with a green flag.

22.2: Jury Boats will be marked with a black flag with word “JURY” in white color.”

·       SI 23(Support Boats) changes as follow:

“23.3:

Support boats shall stay outside the area conformed by the lay-lines during the race. And at the start 50 meters to leeward of the starting line from the preparatory signal until all boats have started or the Race Committee signal a postpone ment or abandonment, unless instructed otherwise by the RC.”

·     The official VHF channel for the championship would be 72. Its changes the following SI: 5.7, 12.2, 12.6, 16.3 and 23.4.
